Admission Requirements and Application Procedures

With a 34% acceptance rate, admission is competitive. Undergraduate programs require a high school diploma (e.g., 80% in Indian CBSE) or equivalent and a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0. Postgraduate programs need a relevant bachelor’s degree (2:1 or equivalent). English proficiency tests (IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 90) are mandatory for non-native speakers, with Swedish proficiency for some programs. International applicants submit transcripts, a CV, SOP, LORs, and proof of funds (€9,000/year) for a Swedish residence permit (€150). Applications are via universityadmissions.se (deadlines: January 15, 2025, for autumn; August 15, 2025, for spring). Tuition fees are SEK 100,000–200,000/year (€8,800–€17,600) for non-EU students, with a SEK 900 (€80) application fee. EU students pay no tuition, but all pay a SEK 1,500 (€130) student union fee. Scholarships like the Lund University Global Scholarship (up to 100% tuition) are available. Early application is advised for housing.
